Pitkäsalo, Eliisa

Pitkäsalo, Eliisa, (born 9th August 1968 in Pietarsaari, Finland) is teaching Finnish language in The Department of Finno-Ugric Studies in BDF College in Szombathely (Hungary). She has graduated from Jyväskylä University (Finland) on 1998 (MA on Literature and Hungarian studies, additional studies: Finnish language on 2000). She is taking part of the PhD Programme of Contemporary Culture Studies (2006–2010) in Jyväskylä University. In her dissertation, she is examining the significations the characters get when transferring them from the Finnish epic Kalevala to a contemporary Finnish novel, Sankarit (The Heroes, 2003) by Johanna Sinisalo.
