SECTION:

"Beginning". The Meaning of Being Born and the All-Embracing Potentials of the Relationship of Birth

The only unifying and all-embracing experience, shared unarguably by all women and men consists of the months' long period, which we have lived inside a woman's body, in order to develop (Adrienne Rich). Similarly up to the present all human beings of all cultures are still being born from the bodies of women. Human relationship is thus an all-embracing, basic cultural experience, which determines human life existentially..
In this context questions about the meanings of being born and the cultural and all-embracing potentials of the relationship of birth will be asked, about the story or stories of the beginning and accordingly, what we have to lose on the "way to the motherless society," which biotechnological "progress" is offering us.
