Alkhazova, Marina

Alkhazova, Marina, born in 1961 in Stavropol region Russia. Obtained her university education at Pyatigorsk State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages. In November 2000, she obtained a doctorate degree in Philosophy Studies from the State University of Volgograd (Russia). In 1994, she was lecturer in English and Linguistics at the university of Law and Economics in Kislovodsk (Russia).Since September 2007; she has been lecturer in English and Linguistics at the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University in Pyatigorsk (Russia).Among her teaching assignments are: Translation, the Teaching of English as a Foreign Languages. In the area of research, Dr.Alkhazova’s work dwells on linguoculture, language policy and language contact.

She has published several articles in various Russian journals.
