Briginevich, Valentina

Briginevich, Valentina, born in 1987 in Kislovodsk (Russia). Obtained her university education at the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University (Russia). In 2009 she obtained the degree of Master of Linguistics. Since 2009, she has been teaching at the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University. Among her teaching assignments feature the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language and the Teaching of German as a Foreign Language.

In the area of research, V. Briginevich’s work dwells on lexicology, mainly on terminological studies. She has published several articles in scholarly journals and co-edited one tutorial for students:

  • Tutorial “BeenThere?!” (Pyatigorsk: PSLU, 2008),
  • Occasional word formation in the novel “Ulysses” by James Joyce (Pyatigorsk: PSLU, 2008),
  • Main approaches to building terminological systems (Pyatigorsk: PSLU, 2010)
