Moser, Joseph W.: Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of German at Washington and Jefferson College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has been serving as Book Review Editor for Modern Austrian Literature since 2006. His dissertation was on “Thomas Bernhard’s Dialogue with the Public Sphere,” which he defended at the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. His recent publications have focused on Thomas Bernhard, Lilian Faschinger, Franz Antel’s Bockerer films, and Austrian-Jewish culture in Czernowitz. Currently, he is working on a book project on the comedic films of Hans Moser, Paul Hörbiger, and Theo Lingens in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s.
