 Rauber, Andreas: außerordentlicher Professor am Institut für Softwaretechnik und Interaktive Systeme der TU Wien, Österreich. Leiter der Arbeitsgruppe iSpaces am Electronic Commerce Kompetenzzentrum ec3. 2000 Doktorat für Informatik an der TU Wien. 2001 ERCIM Research Fellow am National Research Council (CNR) in Pisa, Italien, gefolgt von einem Forschungsaufenthalt bei INRIA in Paris, Frankreich, 2002. 1998 ÖGAI-Preis der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Artificial Intelligence, sowie 2002 der Cor-Baayen Award des European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics. Mitglied der Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), dem Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Artificial Intelligence (ÖGAI), sowie Vorstands-Mitglied des IEEE Technical Committee on Digital Libraries (TCDL), EU Exzellenznetzwerken zum Thema Digital Libraries (DELOS) sowie Multimedia Datenalayse (MUSCLE). Forschungsarbeiten umfassen den Bereich Digitale Bibliotheken, insbesondere das Suche in sowie das Navigieren durch große Informationsräume (Datenanalyse, Information Retrieval und Informationsvisualisierung, Music-Retrieval) sowie die Langzeitarchivierung digitaler Objekte.

Rauber, Andreas, Dr.: Associate Professor at the Department of Software Technology and Interactive Systems (ifs) at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria (TU-Wien). Head of the iSpaces research group at the eCommerce Competence Center (ec3). MSc and PhD in Computer Science from the Vienna University of Technology in 1997 and 2000. 2001 joined the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) in Pisa as an ERCIM Research Fellow, followed by an ERCIM Research position at the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA), at Rocquencourt, France, in 2002. 1998 ÖGAI Award of the Austrian Society for Artificial Intelligence (ÖGAI). 2002 Cor-Baayen Award of the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM). Published numerous papers in refereed journals and international conferences and served as PC member and reviewer for several major journals, conferences and workshops. Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Austrian Society for Artificial Intelligence (ÖGAI). Serves on the board of the IEEE Technical Committee on Digital Libraries (TCDL). Member of the DELOS Network of Excellence on Digital Libraries as well as the MUSCLE Network of Excellence on Multimedia Understanding through Semantics, Computation and Learning. Involved in several research projects in the field of Digital Libraries, focusing on the organization and exploration of large information spaces, as well as Web archiving and digital preservation. Research interests cover the broad scope of digital libraries, including specifically text and music information retrieval and organization, information visualization, as well as data analysis and neural computation.
