Documentation of the multi-year INST-project on the topic "Das Verbindende der Kulturen"/"The Unifying Aspects of Cultures" with contributions, among others, by Tschingis Aitmatow, Martin Bernal, Erhard Busek, Noam Chomsky, Mercedes Echerer, Peter Fisch, Patrice Fuchs, Peter Horn, Thomas Klestil, Andreas Mailath-Pokorny, Anton Pelinka, Christa Prets, Doron Rabinovici, Walter Schwimmer, Katérina Stenou and Beate Winkler. The book comes with a CD, containing the contributions of approximately 1000 authors, as well as a DVD with a 17-minute-film, Anschauung der Welt (View of the World), with pictures by Elke Schönberger and of Kasbegi, Kilimanjaro, Vienna, Buenos Aires, among others. Elke Schönberger has provided an original picture for the cover. The high point of the project was the conference in Vienna "Das Verbindende der Kulturen"/"The Unifying Aspects of Cultures" with 4000 participants from more than 70 countries.
