Pamphile BIYOGHE studied philosophy and political science at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. His doctoral research, carried out within the graduate school school of the University of Paris 1, was titled Rationality, Irrationality, Chance and Fortune in the Politics of Machiavelli. From October 2002 to March 2003, he did an internship at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, specifically within the Office for Strategic Planning. From 2006 to 2010, he taught polemology at the Libreville Staff College. He currently teaches at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Libreville, Gabon, where he holds the grade of Associate Professor Cote A (CAMES). He is the main coordinator of Sophos, an international journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, published by the philosophy department of ENS Libreville. His areas of research and competence are: moral and political philosophy, philosophy of history, philosophy of war, political theory, history of political ideas, and political communication.
