geb. 1960, Psychologe (Dipl. 1989, Promotion 1997, Habilitation 2011), Linguist (M.A. 1993), Literaturwissenschaftler (M.A. 2004). Seit 1994 Lehrbeauftragter und wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der TU Berlin. Dort Leitung der Forschungseinrichtung "Structural Analysis of Cultural Systems". Zahlreiche Felduntersuchungen, insbesondere bei indigenen Gesellschaften in Südostasien und Afrika. Gastprofessor an der Universität der Künste Berlin (Gesellschafts- und Wirtschaftskommunikation). 2004 Gastaufenthalt am Dept. of Psychology der University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Leitung eines Jiddisch-Gesprächskreises mit Holocaust-Überlebenden. Familienpsychologischer Sachverständiger. 2001-2003: EU-Projekt CULTOS (Software zur multimodalen Erfassung von Kulturelementen).
